Out of over 65 chapters in Minnesota, the nation, and the world, RAAFUM was selected as the "Chapter of the Year" for outstanding service and performance as an alumni association chapter. This award recognizes the many alumni and friends activities sponsored by RAAFUM in 2003-04 including scholarships and legislative networking for the UM. RAAFUM President, Dick Westerlund, accepted the award at the UMAA Annual Awards Celebration on September 10, 2004.

RAAFUM 2003-2004 activities and events included:
